BEE WRAP,  BE ECOLO

To protect your already opened packaging, or certain foods, you probably use plastic film or aluminum foil. But while zero waste is making its way into people's minds (now more than ever), the “beewrap” solution could well replace our old habits.

It is a washable, reusable food film, and protected as its name suggests by a thin film of beeswax. If it is possible to do it yourself, the company Indutex offers a ready-made version.

I ADOPT THE BEE WRAP

Forget about plastic wrap or aluminum foil to protect your food. Instead, use a "bee wrap", ie a "beeswax wrap". Reusable and recyclable, this wax-soaked cotton product is resistant to 300 washes. Practical, it adheres well to the container and folds to wrap a sandwich. With it you can pack everything except raw meat and fish to avoid a risk of contamination. It washes off with cold water and soap. On the other hand, never use heat (hot water, microwave) because the wax will melt.
